Before the COVID-19 situation, I used to visit my husband's extended family in India where they celebrate Pongal every year. I remember how beautifully my MIL would decorate the cows, with hand-sewn garlands, and very detailed embroidered cloths that she would let them wear on this day.

This image I sent was her favourite milking cow named Kavita. She has had a few calves over the years, and always got the best treatment. She passed away last year peacefully and will be missed.
